1. Introduction

Bus Tracker Admin ("the App") is an administrative portal for managing school bus tracking operations. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our Android application.

The App is intended for authorized administrators of school bus tracking systems only. It is not intended for use by children.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Authentication Data

• Email address — Used to authenticate your administrator account
• Authentication tokens — Stored locally in encrypted storage to maintain your session
• Two-factor authentication codes — Processed in real-time for verification; not stored

2.2 Biometric Data

• If you enable biometric login, the App uses your device's biometric hardware (fingerprint/face) via the Android BiometricPrompt API
• Biometric data never leaves your device and is managed entirely by the Android operating system
• The App does not access, store, or transmit raw biometric data

2.3 Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect location data
• We do not collect device identifiers or advertising IDs
• We do not collect contacts, photos, or media
• We do not use analytics, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs
• We do not display advertisements

3. How We Use Information

• Authentication: To verify your identity and maintain a secure session
• Administration: To display and manage school bus tracking data (organizations, schools, routes, buses, students, drivers) that you are authorized to access

4. Data Storage and Security

• Authentication tokens are stored locally using Android EncryptedSharedPreferences with AES-256 encryption
• All network communication uses HTTPS with TLS
• Certificate pinning is enforced for the API server
• The App automatically logs you out after 15 minutes of inactivity
• No data is backed up to cloud services (Android backup is disabled)

5. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transfer your personal data to third parties. The App communicates only with our own backend server (trackadmin.clientsdemo.site) to perform administrative operations.

6. Data Retention

• Local authentication data is cleared when you log out or uninstall the App
• Server-side data retention is governed by the school bus tracking system's data policies

7. Your Rights

You may:

• Log out at any time to clear local session data
• Disable biometric login in the App settings
• Uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data
• Request deletion of your administrator account by contacting us

8. Children's Privacy

The App is an administrative tool and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
